Happy Australia Day

Thinking the beach is going to be full because of holiday, we opt to what the Gold Coast Council free family entertainment offers. A free car park and shuttle to and from the park was also running every at least every hour.

Although traffic wasn't too bad, there were at least 4 car crashes along the way which made our travel very slow.

We watched Rodeo, pig race, woodturn contest and some stage shows.

Pics below are taken using iPhone.

Horse formation parade

Patting the camel after the ride.

The queue for camel ride is very long, took about an hour and cost $6 per person for a 3 minutes walk.

Before the camel ride.

Onto the back of the camel, the guide was giving instructions how to ride the camel and how to lean on when the camel stands up and kneels down.

*verdict about camel ride - - it was fun! Would like to do it again, hopefully to ride an egyptian camel in the desert ;-)
