Chinatown, Fortitude Valley

Last sunday we went to Chinatown in the suburb of Fortitude Valley (also known as The Valley). The sight of pagodas, chinese writings, restaurants, chinese shops made me feel like i'm back to Hong Kong. Even the smell is like HK!

And of course, going to china is not complete without having a yum cha for lunch... YUM

Earth Hour

As part of our support to global warming, we joined Earth Hours' campaign to reduce energy consumption by switching off the lights starting at 8 pm.

We use candles around the house and the rose fragrant candle in the bedroom and made the whole room smell so good... :-)

Easter Adventures

We started our 'adventures' by buying the surfers Fab4 which consists of

1. Infinity - a trip to a maze like world of illusions and and special effects.
2. Q1 Observation deck - for a 360 degree views in one of the tallest buildings in the world.
3. Strike bowling bar - with fully computerised tally board
4. Aqua Duck adventure - supposed to be the adventure croc but it's not available that day, so was replaced the Aqua Duck.

We bought the family pass with comes cheaper as we are entitled for a second visit. And we stayed the night at Granny's and continued the next day to a visit to Aunt Lisa's new house and the rest of the afternoon for another adventure duck ride but this time with Poppa and Granny while Mum and Dad went back for a trip to Infinity and a game of bowling.

Along Cavill Ave, an easter kid show are going on for the whole day and giving away easter eggs and sun blocks, Ethan had the chance to join in the stage to play a musical instrument. There were also giant slide, farm animals to pat, free fairy floss, teacup ride, bump cars and a jumping castle all for free. Also a fireworks at past 7pm on the beach and a movie.

Chinese for lunch today

As easter holiday officially starts today, we are having 4 days off! We are planning to go to Surfers Paradise tomorrow until sunday as we are booked for Croc Adventure, Infinity, Strike bowling and tower deck sight seeing. Will tell you more about this after the events.

For now, here are the photos taken today while having our lunch (Dad too lazy to cook) at Market Square. Krystina ordered seafood fried rice (prawn is her favourite), Ethan shared Krystinas' and Dads' food and Mum had deep fried tofu and of course her favourite milk tea with pearls.

more photos to upload soon...
