Ekka 2009

Although government warning about staying home if possible because of swine flu, it didn't stop us to go back to Ekka once more after a year. Every year (3 years now) we go to Ekka festival to buy show bags, taste foods from Woolworths food pavilion, visit the animals/education exhibition and play some games in the yogoville alley.

Riverfestival 2008

Riverfestival is a celebration of the lifestyle of Brisbane and the people who choose to live here.

Riverfire festival involves three bridges, six barges and up to 9 city rooftops. It’s the third biggest fireworks extravaganza and embraces some of the more complex pyrotechnics ever seen in Australia.

When: Saturday 30 August 7pm – 7.30pm
Roulettes* aerial show from 5pm

A stunning choreographed fireworks display, set to the pumping QBE Riverfire 2008 soundtrack from Triple M 104.5FM and all captured live on Channel Seven’s special broadcast from 6.30pm. And then, the ultimate crowd pleaser as the RAAF F1-11* strike jets sweep low over the city before performing their ‘dump and burn’.

fireworks video to be uploaded soon
